"My absolute favorite genre to watch is a psychological thriller and I love the stories that are told in the UK. This probably stems from the fact that my grandparents families come from Leeds, and I have always been drawn to England and its landscape.
I wanted to integrate a love story between two people, in this case two women that develops as a result of the world they are thrust into. Love can happen when you least expect it and with anyone you are opening to loving. This is a unique story of love, deception, betrayal, and desire. I started writing the feature version of this script in 2022, not long after the US withdrew its troops from Afghanistan after occupying the region for 20 years in what culminated in soldiers lives lost and total chaos. This was also during the ending of covid and so many people, particularly veterans were misplaced and became homeless around LA where I live. As I researched more about the war, I learned that there was something called Operation Pitting in which the final evacuation of British Nationals in Afghanistan occurred when the US pulled its men and women service people out which caused a lot of psychological and physical problems for the British veterans. I realized that my story would be better served and my female dominated cast of spies would also be better served with this story about suicide and mistreatment of our armed service people. I am proud that I also assembled a team of creatives on the proof of concept that are mostly women to bring a piece of my story to life."
